I have SOMETHING to say!

Welcome to “I have SOMETHING to say,” where subject matter experts are unafraid and unapologetic about sharing their perspectives regarding issues that impact our lives. They speak up because they give a shit. If you’re tired of canned answers and want to FINALLY hear real people cut through the B.S. and talk about real issues, this podcast is for you.

Everyone is talking Diversity, Equity and Inclusion these days or DEI. But very few can claim dedicating their life’s work in this space like María Cherjovsky, President of the Florida Abilities and Inclusion Network and recipient of the Orlando Business Journal’s Diversity in Business “2020 Lifetime Achievement Award”. When I called María to congratulate her I said: “María, this can’t possibly be true? YOU’RE TOO YOUNG to get a lifetime achievement award!”, to which she giggled and responded: “Believe it or not, it’s been 26 years.” So, I invited her to share her DEI trajectory with me on this episode of I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY, and WOW, what a valuable resource she is. Now in her new role, she has a platform to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities and champion for change in workforce environments that do not address the challenges faced by people with visible and invisible barriers.
