This week on "I Have SOMETHING To Say!", we speak to Jack Valerio, an experienced educator who has invested 44-years to serving kids in public schools. In this episode, Jack candidly shares his views on teaching, parents, students and school environments. Now that we are gearing up for Back to School, he wants us to focus on the things that really matter in order to improve the learning experience: “Stop looking for this Ph.D. nonsense or whether they have this or that experience. Start looking for the heart that the person has. There have to be two things. They have to be task-oriented and they have to be humane. And if they don’t have the balance of those two things, they don’t belong as Principal or Assistant Principal of a school, and certainly not as District Office personnel either.”
