It’s no surprise that women are the leading force behind the emergence of new businesses. Oftentimes, we simply see a need within our own family experiences and create the solution. In this episode of I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY Ketzi Hernandez and Mariden Lord, two friends now business partners, share how they decided to respond to the needs of tweens of diverse backgrounds in the intimate apparel category, after a frustrating search for the right bra for Ketzi’s tween daughter. EVERYONE has to go through that uncomfortable stage between 9 and 14 where nothing seems to be right. For young girls going through abrupt physical changes (and MOM!), there wasn’t a safe space where to access age-appropriate bras, information about puberty, and a supportive community that appeals to all cultural backgrounds, shapes, sizes, and stages within the tween spectrum, until MyFloretz.com came around. “We want to be the Amazon and Spanx of the puberty category”, and they are well on their way to do just that!
